Scarce catalogue published by the Museum of Modern Art in 1941 to accompany the competition that led to the exhibition Organic Design in Home Furnishings at M.O.M.A. jacket and softcovers designed by E. McKnight Kauffer. Contains the following competition designers: Carl Anderson, Benjamin Baldwin, Martin Craig, Charles Eames, Marli Ehrman, Roman Fresnedo, Bernard Greenberg, Xavier Guerrero, Ann Hatfield, Henning-Rees, Carolyn Rees And And Henning Watterston, Carl Koch, Stephen MacDonald, Harriet Meserole, Frances Miller, Chester Nagel, Virginia Nepodal, Emrich Nicholson, Peter Pfisterer, Norton Polivnick, Antonin Raymond, Bernard Rudofsky, Eero Saarinen, Oscar Stonorov, Marianne Strengell, Hugh Stubbins Jr., Ulla Of Ugglas, Julio Villalobos, Willo Von Moltke, Harry Weese, and Charles Wyckoff. There is also an introduction by Noyes which discusses the birth of modern furniture illustrated by images of Alvar Aalto, Breuer, Mies Van Der Rohe and Le Corbuiser furniture.  Condition: softback Wear to the top of the dust jacket and a small section missing by the spine. Some marks to the rear of the dust jacket and a small amount of shelf wear as expected of a book this age. The covers of the book are almost perfect just a slight fold to the rear corner. Contents are fine.
